RDFa Specifications Progress

The RDFa Task Force is back at work on specifications, with new editors’ versions of the Primer and the Syntax. We’re incorporating your feedback, tweaking some details, and generally preparing to standardize RDFa. (Note that these are live editors’ drafts, they may change at any time.)

Over the next few weeks, the task force is going to be working on making RDFa work in XHTML 1.x. We welcome your feedback, your implementations, etc… And we definitely welcome new RDFa deployments, even if it’s just your homepage (see trailblazers Michael Hausenblas and Ivan Herman).

RDFa Bookmarklets now portable

The RDFa bookmarklets are now portable: you can download a tar file and serve them from your own web server (including localhost, of course). This is particularly useful for demos at conferences where you may not have consistent network access.

(Because of browser security considerations, you need to serve the bookmarklets over HTTP, even on localhost. Only static file serving is required.)
